Senior Copywriter
Cigna / Remote
2022 - Present
I really like to make the things—so I demoted myself. While leading teams is rewarding, concepting solutions to real-time marketing problems is my jammm. And at Cigna’s internal agency, I’ve been able to create direct response campaigns, write research-backed long-form content, and even send emails to men who are afraid of the doctor (it’s a thing). Along the way, I’ve learned sooo much about the health insurance industry. I even know what a deductible is—I’m pretty proud of that.

Skills Gained:
Direct Response / AI / Health Insurance Industry Knowledge

TJX / Framingham, MA
2020 - 2022
Went to the home of HomeGoods. As a freelancer, Senior Copywriter, then ACD, I helped make everything from engagement-increasing social content to high-open-rate emails to global signage packages. The best part? Helping launch HomeGoods’ very first eCommerce site—which had fans: Totally. Losing. Their. Minds. I’ve never seen such loyal brand-lovers, and their obsession was so contagious I become one too.

HomeGoods, Homesense, & TJX Internal
Skills Gained:
Building & Launching an eCommerce Site

2018 - 2020
ACDs get to be leaders and players. As a player, I was able to work on local, regional, and national brands. But as a leader, I got to do so much more—from helping young creatives discover their own brand of awesome, to creating a whole new agency process that would get the right brains on the right projects at the right time.

Staff Writer
Boston University / Boston, MA
2018
Left turn! I moved back to Boston because I felt like I left a part of me there. At BU, I was able to show prospective students that the School of Theology could give them more than just a religious experience, created eyeball-worthy content backed by analytics, and helped newly accepted students accept how small their dorm room was going to be.

Los Angeles, CA
2017 - 2018
Right turn! I went to the Left Coast to work for myself. During that time, I got to work for a lot of awesome brands too. From braving a group of Storm Troopers for Disneyland to writing a website to get the word out about The 3% Movement, I was able to push my own boundaries while I lived out of my geographical bounds.

Disneyland Parks & Resorts, Disney’s Aulani Resort, Adventures by Disney, The 3% Movement, Chase Credit Cards, & Weight Watchers
Skills Gained:
Freelancing / National & Global Campaigns / Tourism & Financial Industry Knowledge
Senior Copywriter
Brand Content / Boston, MA
2014 - 2017
I didn’t want my experience to be one-sided, so I went agency-side. At Brand Content, I traveled to sunny LA to sit in an ice cream freezer for Hood—and hung off cliffs in Guatemala to capture a boy’s 3-hour journey to school for School the World. In-between, I learned the art of pitching, how to vary up my voices, and the discipline it takes to come at a strategy from every angle.

In-house in Staples’ house was where I learned about the importance of leadership, authenticity, and teamwork. Junior Producer
Captains of Industry / Boston, MA
2009 - 2010
Snagged an internship by bartending at Captains’, “Funeral for Traditional Advertising.” After a couple of months, it turned into a job. As a junior producer, I learned a lot about production, the value of good content, and the renewable energy industry. I also had to search the streets of Boston, for hours, looking for “just the right” carrot cake. And just like any good producer—I found it.

Endicott College / Beverly, MA

A side hustle where I helped undergraduate & graduate students organize, structure, cite, and polish their work. The pure joy that comes from showing someone else how to let their own brilliance shine is a high that I’ll chase for the rest of my career. It’s also the reason I commuted 3 hours, to tutor for 3 hours, every week for 7 years.
