Senior Copywriter
Cigna / Remote
2022 - Present
The story is still unfolding!

ACD / Copy
TJX / Framingham, MA
2020 - 2022
Went to the home of HomeGoods. As a Freelancer, Senior Copywriter, then ACD, I helped make everything from engagement-increasing social content to high-open-rate emails to global signage packages. The best part? Helping launch HomeGoods’ very first eCommerce site—which had fans: Totally. Losing. Their. Minds. I’ve never seen such loyal brand lovers, and it was so contagious I become one too.

HomeGoods, Homesense, & TJX Internal

Skills Gained:
Building and launching an eCommerce site

ACD / Copy
CTP / Boston, MA

ACDs get to be leaders and players. As a player, I was able to work on local, regional, and national brands. But as a leader, I got to do so much more—from helping young creatives discover their own brand of awesome, to creating a whole new agency process that would get the right brains on the right projects at the right time.

Creative Direction, Leadership, Strategy Development, PR, VR Game Development, The Food & Beverage Industry, The Healthcare Industry, and The Insurance Industry.

Staff Writer
Boston University / Boston, MA
2018
Left turn! I moved back to Boston because I felt like I left a part of me there. At BU, I was able to show prospective students that the School of Theology could give them more than just a religious experience, created eyeball-worthy content backed by analytics, and helped newly accepted students accept how small their dorm room was going to be.

Brands:
Boston University’s Schools and Colleges, Admissions, & Alumni Association

Skills Gained:
Deciphering & Translating Research Findings, UX Site Mapping, Partnering with Analytics, & Higher Education

Freelance
Los Angeles, CA
2017 - 2018
Right turn! I went to the Left Coast to work for myself. During that time, I got to work for a lot of awesome brands too. From braving a group of Storm Troopers for Disneyland to writing a website to get the word out about The 3% Movement, I was able to push my own boundaries while I lived out of my geographical bounds.

Brands:
Disneyland Parks & Resorts, Disney’s Aulani Resort, Adventures by Disney, The 3% Movement, Chase Credit Cards, & Weight Watchers.

Skills Gained:
Freelancing, The Tourism & Financial Industries, National Campaigns, & Packing and Moving All of My Belongings (Twice).

Senior Copywriter
Brand Content / Boston, MA
2014 - 2017
I didn’t want my experience to be one-sided, so I went agency-side. At Brand Content, I traveled to sunny LA to sit in an ice cream freezer for Hood—and hung off cliffs in Guatemala to capture a boy’s 3-hour journey to school for School the World. In-between, I learned the art of pitching, how to vary up my voices, and the discipline it takes to come at a strategy from every angle.

Brands:
School the World, Hood, Sentient Jet, Monster, Baileys, Heluva Good!, Lactaid, BFresh, Valley Cats, & Glove Up.

Skills Gained:
Concepting & Producing Integrated Campaigns, TV Production & Editing, Out of Home, Organic Social, Interactive Digital Experiences, Pitching, & Industry Research

Senior Copywriter
Staples / Framingham, MA
2010 - 2014
In-house in Staples’ house was where I learned a great deal about the importance of leadership, authenticity, and teamwork. As I went from Junior Copywriter, to Copywriter, to Lead Copywriter, and to Senior Copywriter, I worked on every part of the Staples business, making my office supply knowledge pretty much endless.

Brands:
Staples Seasonal (Back to School & Holiday), Staples Digital (Staples.com, Email, Social, & Digital Experiences), Staples Advantage (B2B), & Staples “Own Brand” Products

Skills Gained:
Concepting, UX & SEO Writing, Organic & Paid Social, A/B Testing, Email, Print, Radio, Video, Long & Short-Form Copy, Presenting, Collaborating, & Partnering with Marketing

Junior Producer
Captains of Industry / Boston, MA
2009 - 2010
Snagged an internship by bartending at Captains’, “Funeral for Traditional Advertising.” After a couple of months, it turned into a job. As a junior producer, I learned a lot about production, the value of good content, and the renewable energy industry. I also had to search the streets of Boston, for hours, looking for “just the right” carrot cake. And just like any good producer—I found it.

Brands:
First Wind, Cogenra Solar, Enernoc, & Deep Water Wind

Skills Gained:
Scoping, Scouting, Scheduling, Casting, Shooting, Video Editing, Blogging, & Searching for Baked Goods

Professional Writing Tutor
Endicott College / Beverly, MA
2005 - 2012
A side hustle where I helped undergraduate & graduate students organize, structure, cite, and polish their work. The pure joy that comes from showing someone else how to let their own brilliance shine is a high that I’ll chase for the rest of my career. It’s also the reason I commuted 3 hours, to tutor for 3 hours, every week for 6 years.

Skills Gained:
Proofreading, Copy Editing, Citation, Grammar, Research, MLA, APA, ESL, Teaching, Guiding, Empathizing, & Listening
